Do Children’s Ears Need Regular Cleaning?
In most cases, ears clean themselves naturally.
Earwax is not dirt. It protects the ear from dust, bacteria, and small particles. Normally, earwax slowly moves outward on its own.
You only need to clean your child’s ears if:
- There is visible earwax outside the ear
- Your child complains of discomfort
- You notice reduced hearing
- There is itching or irritation
There is no need to clean deep inside the ear regularly.
